The only authentic, Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc.-licensed specialty cruise that celebrates the music and life of the legendary Elvis Presley, “The Elvis Cruise” will sail round-trip New Orleans and visit Cozumel, Mexico, departing Thursday, August 28, and returning Monday, September 1, 2008. The one-of-a-kind voyage will be hosted by Jerry Schilling, longtime friend and confidante of the late Elvis Presley, and author of the book, Me and a Guy Named Elvis. Entertainment during the cruise will include live shows from artists who performed with Elvis and have been recognized for continuing his musical legacy, including the TCB Band, the Imperials, the Dempseys, Ronnie McDowell, Terry Mike Jeffrey & Band, Andy Childs, Ruby Wilson and others. Famed conductor Joe Guercio will serve as musical director. Best known and admired for his work with Elvis Presley, Guercio has had a prolific career. He was musical director and conductor for Elvis' concert shows from the summer of 1970 to the summer of 1977, when Elvis made his last concert appearance. The Elvis Cruise is unique in that the nightly Vegas-style shows celebrate the various phases of Elvis’ musical life and career. “And with the voyage departing from the historic Port of New Orleans, we are introducing a new show featuring the sights and sounds from Elvis’ most dramatic role in his memorable film, ‘King Creole,’” said Guercio. A number of themed events also will be featured, including an on-board Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest, which will award $12,500 in prize money. Other activities will range from autograph and Q&A sessions with the musicians and hosts, to the Elvis Cruise T-shirt Party, Elvis-themed bingo, an afternoon at the movies with host Jerry Schilling and more. “Having the opportunity to participate in the only licensed Elvis cruise is particularly special and the fact that the voyage sails from New Orleans only adds to the excitement,” said Ruben Rodriguez, Carnival’s executive vice president of marketing and guest experience. “This cruise provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity for Elvis fans to come together and enjoy the exceptional music and memories of one of the world’s most celebrated performing artists, all combined with a truly outstanding ‘Fun Ship’ vacation experience,” he added. “All of us at The Elvis Cruise are thrilled to partner with Carnival Cruise Lines for this exciting celebration of Elvis’ life,” said Michael McKay, Elvis Cruise executive producer. “We are excited to provide individuals who are passionate about Elvis with the exclusive opportunity to interact with fellow enthusiasts and revered performers in a spectacular and festive cruise setting. This is really the magic of the whole experience.” The “Fun Ship” Carnival Fantasy features a diverse selection of lounges, bars and nightspots, along with a health and fitness center, Wi-Fi Internet access, cellular phone service, and three pools, one of which features the line’s signature “Twister Waterslide.” The 2,056-passenger vessel also houses three restaurants, including two elegant main dining rooms with extensive menus and wine lists, and a poolside eatery offering a wide variety of cuisine and 24-hour pizza and self-serve ice cream/frozen yogurt. A sushi bar and complimentary 24-hour stateroom service are also available. Reservations are currently being accepted for the upcoming “Elvis Cruise” aboard Carnival Fantasy. Prices begin at $699 per person based on double occupancy and include all “Elvis Cruise” activities. Pre- and post-cruise New Orleans land stays are also available.

NEW CARNIVAL FREEDOM TO LAUNCH SEVEN-DAY CRUISES FROM MIAMI IN NOVEMBER 2007; RATES START AT $599 PER PERSON 110,000-ton SuperLiner Will be the Newest Carnival ‘Fun Ship’ Sailing from Miami MIAMI (August 17, 2006) – Carnival Cruise Lines announced today that the 110,000-ton Carnival Freedom will operate year-round seven-day Caribbean cruises from the Port of Miami beginning in November 2007, becoming the newest “Fun Ship” to operate from that port. Currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Maghera, Italy, the 2,974-passenger SuperLiner will launch alternating weeklong eastern and western Caribbean cruises from the Port of Miami beginning November 17, 2007. Prior to the start-up of this program, Carnival Freedom will operate a special one-time four-day cruise from Miami to Key West and Cozumel Nov. 12-16, 2007. “With its wide range of on-board amenities, array of balconied staterooms, myriad dining, dancing and entertainment venues, and expansive facilities for children and teens, Carnival Freedom will be a spectacular addition to the ‘Fun Ship’ fleet. Deploying this ship to Miami will provide our guests with even more exciting ‘Fun Ship’ vacation options from the ‘Cruise Capital of the World,’” said Bob Dickinson, Carnival president and CEO. Carnival Freedom will replace Carnival Triumph which will be deployed from Miami to New Orleans to begin year-round seven-day Caribbean departures beginning in September 2007. Including Carnival Freedom and the line’s four other Miami-based ships, Carnival will have 12,810 total lower berths at that port – the most of any of its 18 North American departure points. Prior to the start-up of its new Miami-based cruises, Carnival Freedom will debut with an inaugural summer schedule of Mediterranean/Greek Isles voyages March 14 – October 16, 2007, followed by a 14-day transatlantic crossing from Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy to Miami Oct. 28 – Nov. 11, 2007. Exciting Caribbean Itineraries Carnival Freedom’s new Miami-based schedule will begin November 17, 2007, and consist of seven-day cruises departing Saturdays alternating to the eastern and western Caribbean. Each itinerary features a variety of scenic island destinations, with magnificent beaches and watersports opportunities, excellent duty-free shopping, and a diversity of historical attractions and landmarks. Eastern Caribbean cruises will call at the popular islands of San Juan, St. Thomas/St. John, and St. Maarten, while the western route will visit three different tropical ports of call - Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios. Signature ‘Fun Ship’ Amenities The fifth in Carnival’s highly successful “Conquest-class,” Carnival Freedom will offer an array of exciting on-board amenities and facilities, including 22 lounges and bars with dramatic interiors inspired by prominent design themes and styles employed over the past decades and centuries. A wide range of dining options, including full-service multi-course meals in twin two-deck-high formal restaurants, an upscale reservations-only supper club offering U.S.D.A. prime aged beef and other gourmet cuisine, and a 1,400-seat casual poolside restaurant featuring extensive breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets, Asian and American specialty areas, and 24-hour pizza and ice cream, will be available. All dining venues will feature “Georges Blanc Signature Selections” created by the French master chef who has maintained the coveted three stars from Michelin for more than 25 years. A number of family-friendly amenities, including a 4,200-square-foot children’s play area, part of the fleetwide “Camp Carnival” program, and a 1,800-square-foot “Club 02” teen dance club/recreation area, will also be featured. The ship will also house a 13,300-square-foot health club, jogging track, four swimming pools, and a comprehensive golf program with professional instruction both aboard ship and during golf excursions. In addition to cell phone service and an Internet café, Carnival Freedom will offer “100 percent bow to stern” wireless Internet capabilities. Of the ship’s 1,487 staterooms, 60 percent will offer either an ocean view or private balcony – perfect for scenic cruising. CALL THE CRUISE WIZARDS TODAY AT 866 722-7447 - toll free or at 315 768-1700 HOW TO CHOOSE A CRUISE Cruising is a wonderful vacation experience. You will get great value for your vacation dollar. Cruising is all-inclusive which means that almost everything’s included at a fixed price that you know in advance. The cruise price includes your stateroom, all meals, room service, most on board entertainment including Las Vegas style shows, use of pools, Jacuzzi, gym, children’s programs, an unending variety of organized games and contests and more. Before you book that cruise of a lifetime, there are several questions you must ask yourself and your cruise companions. Decide who will be joining you on the cruise. Cruising is for all ages, but some lines are better suited for children, teenagers or singles. Know the likes and dislikes of your cruise companions. Decide if you have a preference about ship size. Large ships have more entertainment choices, while small ships have a more personal approach to service. Cruises have all sorts of activities on board from bingo to spa treatment to cooking, computer and pottery classes. When ashore, you can sightsee, swim, golf, shop or do whatever interests you. Or you can do nothing but relax, read or gaze out to sea. Decide on when, where and how long you want to cruise. The most popular cruises last from 3 to 14 days. Cruising is a year round vacation opportunity. Caribbean cruises are year round, and Panama Canal sailings are in the spring, fall and winter. Alaska & Europe cruises take place in the summer. Canada/New Determine your budget. Cruise lines give discounts for early bookings. You can also affect your costs by altering cruise dates, the length of your cruise and the region you sail to. The best bargains are in the fall and spring, but good buys can be found much of the year. Remember that the least expensive cruise or the best cruise bargain is no bargain if it does not suit your needs. What type of cabin do you want/need? Many of the newer ships feature balcony cabins. Many cruisers opt for the least expensive inside cabins since you are in the room only to sleep and dress. Others choose a window to see the weather or the views outside. However once you have experienced a balcony, you are spoiled. There is nothing like enjoying your morning coffee or breakfast out on your private balcony while at sea. When / how do you like to eat dinner? Cruise ships traditionally have two dinner seatings. First seating around 6PM and the second seating around 8:30PM. You are assigned to a table and have the same wait staff and companions for dinner each night. Many cruise lines now offer Personal Choice dining which means you can choose the time you wish to dine and you will have different dinner companions and wait staff each meal. Or you can try a specialty restaurant from a trattoria to canjun to a steak house for a nominal fee. How do you plan to get to the cruise ship? Many cruisers fly to the embarkation point. However, cruise ships leaving from the United States depart from cities from Boston down the Atlantic Coast to Miami around the Gulf to Galveston and finally from San Diego up the Pacific Coast to Seattle. You can drive to the embarkation point and save the cost of air fare. Contacting a qualified professional cruise expert is one of the best ways to gather the information you need to choose the right cruise. A good cruise expert can give you practical and invaluable information about cruise ships and cruise destinations, plus be there for you for the entire process until you return back home. Generally we find that if a client knows when they would like to go, where they would like to go, for how long and how much their budget will allow, we can suggest two or three cruises that might be appropriate for that individual and feel confident that we’ll be putting them on a cruise that they’ll find both enjoyable and memorable. The Cruise Wizards are owned and operated by Brenda Gray and Deb Lawendowski, who both have extensive knowledge of cruise lines and have been on over 60 ships so they can help pick the right cruise vacation for you.
